MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College’s second, eight-week Fall Semester starts October 28 and it is the perfect opportunity for all students, including online and working adults, to get an affordable higher education closer to home.

More than 35 classes - from business, computer and economics to history, psychology and sociology - are conveniently offered via in-person, online, remote and hybrid formats to flexibly fit any busy schedule and lifestyle. This eight-week session concludes on December 21.

Atlantic Cape offers more than 10 degree programs entirely online, making it more convenient than ever to earn an associate degree. Students who register for online, remote and hybrid classes receive the same free resources that are available to those who attend in-person.

All students have access to academic advising, career services, free and confidential mental health services, food pantry, libraries, tutoring, support services that can provide reasonable accommodations to those with diagnosed disabilities and more.

For new and returning students, recent high school graduates or working adults, Atlantic Cape is more than just an institution of higher learning. Charlene Maycott, who graduated in May 2024 with an Associate Degree in Psychology, returned to college in 2019 while in her mid-50s. Atlantic Cape made it easy for her to fulfill her dream of earning her degree.

“One of my biggest challenges was being a full-time caregiver to my 82-year-old mother, who is blind and has Alzheimer's, while attending school and working. Atlantic Cape has a big selection of online, remote and hybrid classes, which made it easier to take care of my mother and earn my degree. Although most of my assignments were completed and turned in well after midnight, I managed to do it,” said Maycott, who will be attending Stockton University in the spring. “Atlantic Cape provided me with the way to fulfill my dreams of becoming a college graduate, even at my age. Atlantic Cape has shown me that I can be proud of my accomplishments.”
